Output sizing for the internet has baffled me for some time . Now that most of the Leica users are using lightroom for at some of their processing ..hoping to find some answers.

When I look at an image in LR itself displayed on my 15 in MacBook Pro it looks decent but I know a lot more is in the file ( I have 27 NEC at my Florida home ).

My general output settings in LR are to put the file out as a JPEG, full quality , 1024x1024 (which I understood was for the iPad ) , sRGB, 144 and std sharpening. This produces a nice size file and its exceptionally crisp .

If I output the same file at full quality (not size limited ) everything else the same ...its not as sharp.

This seems like a totally rookie mistake on my part .

I know on this site that the resizing is done during the upload ..so I am speaking about just output to a desktop folder .

can anyone clear this up for me.
