    I read it the same way. 30,000 M9's is an awful lot of camera for Leica to manufacture by hand though.

  • Like Doug I use a Thumbie too, which seems to balance the M9-P better as well as giving better grip. I haven't had a problem with the adhesive strip and I've used one on my M8 for 18 months or so.

    Thanks for posting, David. I did the upgrade on my M8 and have always been happy that I did.

    At the price I'm kinda glad that I held off buying an M9 and went straight for the M9-P when it was released but it's good that Leica is offering the choice to upgrade for those who value it.
