Leica Q for a beginner?

My friends have a leica q and I’ve always remarked at the quality of her photos she easily sends us. We have iPhones (14 pro)and yes I know it’s not fair to compare but that’s all we have to base our family photos and capturing life. Anyways, I’ve been turned on to this camera and she let me borrow to try it out. Is this too much camera for me? I really just want to point and shoot and the AFs is insanely good. I love that these photos come out looking sooooo much better with no editing. I don’t want to overbuy if there is a better option.

Found a few in great condition for $2k or just over.

Any thoughts are appreciated. If you feel like I should be roasted…sorry for posting 🙂
