Hi everyone, I bought a cheap 12V linear actuator for my DIY garage door opener project. It worked fine for the first few days but now it barely moves and makes a horrible grinding sound. I’m using a 12V 5A power supply and it lifts about 40 kg. Stroke is 300 mm. Did I overload it? Is the duty cycle the problem? Or maybe bad quality? I’m really frustrated because I already mounted everything. Any advice what to check first? Thanks!
