When you buy Leica branded they are made by SIGMA .. different brand label and very much more expensive. The Sigma BP 51’s performance is exactly the same as the “Leica” battery supplied with the camera when new.
Buy only from camera shops or camera stockists .. there are many good looking fakes, you’ll not see the difference until the battery starts to swell or charge drops off.
