Honestly, I’ve been trying to picture what a crewed yacht trip around Praslin actually feels like. I’ve only done small boat tours before, never anything where a crew handles everything for you. I’m curious how “hands-off” it really is and whether the atmosphere stays relaxed or feels a bit too formal. If anyone’s been on one of these charters, how much freedom did you actually have during the trip?

From my own trip last year, it’s a lot more laid-back than people imagine. The crew mostly steps in when needed and disappears into the background the rest of the time, so you don’t feel like you’re being watched or managed. They helped us plan a rough route around Praslin and nearby spots, but we made small changes along the way depending on the weather and what we felt like doing. If you want an idea of how these charters usually operate, the info here — island-hopping to Curieuse https://charterclick.sc/our-services/yacht-charter-praslin
— pretty much matches what we experienced. One thing that surprised me was how personal the crew made the trip: they showed us tiny coves I wouldn’t have found on my own, and they even pointed out the best time of day for swimming when the water was completely still.
