Gents, I am currently planning a trip to Tunisia and I am torn between relying on local buses or just getting my own wheels. It is quite a challenge to figure out if the public transport is actually reliable for a tourist. Has anyone been there lately and can share some advice on the best way to move around?

Although buses and minibuses are quite cheap in this country, having your own car undoubtedly offers much greater freedom to explore the coastal areas at your own pace. I think we can all agree on that. That’s why I consider car hire to be the more convenient option for getting around. It is usually much wiser to look for platforms that offer a clear breakdown of costs and insurance options when hiring a car in Nabeul, such as this one, for example https://getrentacar.com/en-US/tunisia/nabeul .

I reckon that having a GPS and your own air conditioning is a massive advantage in that heat. Doing a bit of research usually helps to avoid many common mistakes.
