Vintage Lenses (tips)

Hi there, I’m new to the forum. I have a couple of older Pentax lenses I’m trying out with my SL. Specifically, Pentax FA 43mm limited & FA 31mm limited, using a Novoflex adapter. Is there a way for the camera to recognize the lens information?

Hi. I’m new too. I just bought a Q and an SL in used/like new condition. Using vintage Canon FD glass – also with a Novoflex – on my SL. And the answer is ‘no.’ Vintage lenses don’t transmit any data. The Novoflex is the best adapter I’ve used. Rock solid. Vintage glass isn’t for everyone. But I love the look. I find modern lenses too sharp.
