I'm new to this forum, but I started my Leica M journey in the 1960's and 70's with an M2 with one lens, 50mm Summicron. I've now got a different M2, and an M3, and an M8.2 (which I bought mostly to take infrared photos) and my three year old M10.

Cameras I use include mostly the M10 and a new D780 which is also for video. Technically, I know the M10 is now “old”, but the strange thing is, I enjoy using it just as much, if not more, than the newer D780, and I can get equivalent results from either camera unless I need long lenses. I used to shoot racing photography for several magazines, and the DSLR was necessary much of the time.

I think this Forum is great, and I'm working my way through all the Red Dot Forum videos on YouTube. I spoke to Josh a couple of weeks ago, and expect to visit your store once I get my car back. My current thoughts are that the M10 is “ageless”. It's as good for me now as the day I bought it. In no way does it feel “old”, and reading and viewing here and in the videos has shown me that I may never find a camera that fits “me” better than my M10, certainly not from any other brand. My Nikon D780 is fantastic, but I enjoy using the M10 more….. and both give me very satisfactory results, as long as I do my part.
