I’m in the middle of choosing replacement windows and Harvey’s name keeps coming up, especially the casement models. How do they hold up in cold weather? I live in Vermont so insulation really matters to me.

Good question, especially with Vermont winters—strong insulation is key.

I spent weeks comparing different brands before settling on casement styles. What swayed me was this overview of https://ubrothersconstruction.com/catalog/windows/casement/item/harvey-classic-vinyl-casement-window harvey casement windows and how well they perform in cold climates. Harvey uses high-quality vinyl and strong seals, which really helps reduce drafts. We noticed a big difference in the first winter after installation—rooms stayed warmer, and the heating bill actually dropped a bit. Another plus is how easy they are to crank open even with heavy snow outside. I’d say if insulation is a top priority, Harvey’s worth considering, especially the Classic Vinyl series!!!
