While discussing safety requirements for a new facility I noticed the plans mentioned “EI 120.” I’d seen other ratings before, but this one caught my attention because it seemed to imply a higher level of protection. It made me wonder how to properly interpret that kind of marking in real building projects

In practice, it represents a more advanced level of protection that’s typically used where higher safety standards are necessary
