I am an architectural photographer and I just switched to the SL2 from Canon. Is there any chance at all that there will be Tilt Shift Lenses developed and released by Leica for the SL2? I am currently using my Canon Tilt/Shift Lenses via adapter.

Hi there, I’m new to the forum. I have a couple of older Pentax lenses I’m trying out with my SL. Specifically, Pentax FA 43mm limited & FA 31mm limited, using a Novoflex adapter. Is there a way for the camera to recognize the lens information?
Thank you in advance.

It was a Varta 625U causing the problem. Varta had changed the form factor of the collar around the battery core ever so slightly, resulting in the battery not fitting in the M5 anymore.
A fantastic Leica technician here in Germany produced a new camera cover for me that fits SR44 batteries.
I wouldn’t n…[Read more] -

I…[Read more]

HI All this is my first post here. I just got a CL and am using some old Pentax glass on it and the experience is sublime! I am absolutely loving the whole thing. The camera is great but mated with my old lenses its a whole new thing. I do need to get a wider lens and am considering the Voigtlander Ultron 21mm f/1.8 with an adapter. I really dont…[Read more]

@maisie I finally got my Q-P back from service in Germany. On the positive side, kudos to Leica, they gave me superb support. They believed in my experience, genuinely tried to help. Even though the freezing problem was random and very hard to reproduce, they agreed to send the camera to Germany, and during this time they lent me a brand new Leica…[Read more]

While Leica has maintained a facility in Portugal, historically, they've made mechanical components for cameras and lenses, as well as producing many of the sport optics products. These lenses mark the first time that M lenses will have been produced there.
