After switching to GA4, working with Google Ads became a pain. The reports are superficial, user analytics is scanty, and there is no end-to-end analytics.
I think it’s time to switch to external solutions that provide normal data on sources and the actual profitability of campaigns.
I’m interested in the experience of those who integrated third-party platforms to track the effectiveness of Google advertising. What did you use? What really works? - May 1, 2025 at 9:00 am #44222
GA4 is not for business at all. We took a third-party tracker, and only then saw that most of the “effective” campaigns were actually wasting the budget.

You’re not alone with the GA4 problem – my team and I also moved away from it after a couple months of problems. Instead, we started using Google Ads Campaign Optimization Software . It was a great decision because we got direct integration with Google Ads. What’s important – they integrate data from Shopify, Facebook, Google and Amazon and you can see not just clicks, but how a person went through the path to purchase. I recommend going through their demo: it’s easy to see where the money is coming from and where it’s just garbage traffic. Do you have a multi-channel funnel, or is everything going through PPC?
