I have been playing with this combination a bit today to see what's what. I tried every combination I could, camera on first, flash on first, camera on then attach flash while off, camera on then attach flash while on. I have yet to find a combination where the flash will not allow me to select TTL-HSS while attached to the camera. If I take the…[Read more]

I saw this same thing last weekend
It is something really stupid about switching on the camera or the SF58 first … can't remember which but it is in one of the manuals (in a none obvious place)
Good luck and will check when I get home this evening

David,
I thought that I'd follow-up and see if you've heard any more about the possibility of this becoming a reality. Although I've been using a flash for more lower light situations, an extra stop or two would open quite a few more creative shooting options without the flash.

I think its worse than an allocation of resources…because Leica will probably not make the accessories . They sure don t make the screen .
I would give them credit for addressing the most significant issue with the camera at release ..the integration of the Adobe software with the in camera raw files . The current files…[Read more]

I learned from the best. 😉
This one was a little tricky, though. The blue hour light was changing pretty quickly and my first attempt was 32 second exposures, which meant that between the exposure time and the dark frame subtraction time, I was taking 64 seconds per image,…[Read more]

It was probably a good idea not to give Josh all the cameras when we visited the BMW get together. Pretty good chance he would have traded our KIA van and a couple of S2's for a sportier ride 🙂

Thanks for all the insights and testing. I ended up with a Gitzo 3541L and i think thats the right size for the S2 . The RRS BH55 and the lever release and the RRS L bracket. Nothing original. Could not get the RRS 34 L in time for my trip.
