I have not used either the 35 1.4 older model or the 28 2.0 for astrophotography. I don’t believe vignetting is an issue with the 21 but if that’s not your preferred field of view, go with a 35. Thanks for the quick response! These days I find that I end up cropping a lot of my night shots , so I’m using 28 or 35 mm lenses more often than my very wide 15 and 20 mm lenses (where distortion and vignetting can be issues). That’s an easy choice but not inexpensive.

Hi guys, please excuse my ignorance….I have firmware update to 1.0.2.0 at the moment. I was reading Thorsten Overgaard’s site and came across his setup page for his 246 (see attached image). on it it stated the firmware was 1.0.0.4………is this correct?

Did I hear correctly that Leica was going to release new firmware for the SL-2 lenses that would allow for adjustment of focus throw? I have been waiting for this but seen no announcement of such. Thanks in advance…Peter
The lens firmware is already available.
