Hhmmm … I’ve been so busy using the 120mm lens for so many other things that I really haven’t spent much time taking any macro shots. I should’ve used a tripod … but it’s cool to know just how good the 120’s macro capability is to use when you need it.

You are certainly correct that it’s a crop. Here’s the original. 1-1 is too close for bees in my book anyway. 😉

That’s always been a plus to extra resolution. You can create so many photographs from one scene.I recently sold from my website what I had posted as a panorama shot, and off my website, which allows for custom cropping, the buyer cbose to crop it to a rectangle and it still had enough resolution for them to order it as a 30″x40″ photograph.
