Thanks Alex. I didn't see the handgrip for the new S on the B&H site yesterday. I must have missed it.

I have been shooting the M240 for a while now. I have to say at first I got caught up using live view and some evf. Now, I am enjoying the camera way more with just the rangefinder. Live view is significantly slower for me.

Another example of using the Central Shutter. There is so much for freedom to control exposure.

I am using Profoto Air Trascievers. They work perfectly 100% of the time at 1/1000 even with multiple lights. I have tested up to 3 lights.

Yes. We use lighting. I have specific lighting techniques I utilize for M photography. Which are completely different from my S work.

The handgrip is out since about half year. Don't think the S2 grip works, but I believe there has already been a discussion about that before.

I have now verified that the issue of the Leica S2 + Contax adapter “forgetting” the mounted lens is either an issue of the Leica S2 or the adapter itself.

The problem is triggered 100% reliably when the camera is activating the standby mode.

I'd use the S2 near sand and water with little trepidation Can't treat these tools as being too precious … but changing lenses needs to be done with great care as the S sensor attracts dust like an over zealous magnet.

Sorry to hear this. I hope Leica can sort out these issues because I really like the idea of adapting lenses on the S system. But for €1729,- I would expect an adapter to work flawlessly.

After 3 weeks I'm still waiting for a replacement, mine was DOA.
