Owners login area. Once you register your S lens you can use the link in the owners area to download the voucher. It will be pre-filled out with your dealer info and the lens info.

So it looks like only the original purchaser of a new lens from an authorized dealer will qualify ….seems reasonable . Maybe not as difficult a process as it looked at first glance . Great for the S2 owners .
Now if they can just start supplying the lenses . 😎

Roger,
The wording on the certificate is below, it does imply that the lens has to have been bought from a Leica S dealer as you will have to go through them for the exchange. So in a way this keeps second hand lenses purchased from private parties out of the program.“Dear Leica Customer,
We would like to thank you for your loyalty to…[Read more] -

Roger, I understand your ideas as being thoughtful suggestions.
I do NOT think for a moment that this offer should extend to lenses bought used. The incentive was intended to stimulate new sales of the S2 and what lenses existed … not everything, forever.
This concept isn't new. The MFD makers have done it for some time. Buy the…[Read more]

[QUOTE=fotografz;3753]Leica cannot make this their customer's problem. It is their problem, and they should solve it. If they wanted to limit the time-line, then they should have clearly and concisely done it up front, not after the fact.

I have no ax to grind here as I never considered the CS versions in my purchase decision .…[Read more]

I bought the S2 primarily because it was a dual shutter camera. In effect, that selling feature has not been usable for the…[Read more]

Monochrom's are coming in, just very slowly. Demand is still extremely high which is great, but it will probably be a number of months before us dealers are caught up on our lists. Everyone I know that's received one absolutely loves it, and having some brief time to test it myself recently, I can confirm that there is no other camera like it that…[Read more]

Kurt,
My local dealer finally received one…it is everything you imagine and then some.
I may well sell off 90 percent of my stuff and concentrate on the mono and the new M.
It really is that good.

My personal opinion: the CCD's for the M Monochrom are the “best of the best” as uniformity is even more important in a Monochrome image. I suspect this slows production. I'd rather have the “best of the best” rather than anything less.
My original “Store-Bought” digital camera is 20 years old this year, a Kodak KAF-1600 Monochrome/Infrared…[Read more]

Are Monochrom's still trickling in? It certainly seems like an agonizingly slow introduction. I sent a request to my favorite Leica dealer in May before the announcement and I still haven't seen a glimpse of the light of day.

The question is whats fair and responsive ? Leica clearly needs to extend the Sept10,2010 cut off ..not only because the CS lenses were not available ..but also because you could not get S lenses either .
I would expect that they will try to draw a line someplace. Without a cut off you could just pick up a few used S lenses and trade…[Read more]

Gorgeous images! I've always been a Porsche enthusiast. Did they have any 959's there?

Thank you Jack MacD and David K for the suggestion. I may try to keep m9-P for color and daytime work and use m monochrom for low light, night, personal projects. Not sure how wise it is to spend that kind of money. I barely explore the possibility of making great b&w rendition by way of conversion from m9-p which I think there are some potential…[Read more]

Mark,
Great stuff! You should take advantage of the lights when you can as well. Your use of the available light is very good, keep working on it! - Load More
