I read it the same way. 30,000 M9's is an awful lot of camera for Leica to manufacture by hand though.

Sorry, it seems like a lame excuse regarding the finer ISO selections.

The M8 has the same ones as the S2, then the M9 added more, making the M9 much easier to refine metering while adding the least amount of noise possible for each exposure need.

Well, this is common. The longer you charge your batteries the nearer you get to 100%, but rarely reach it. I have 3 batteries for the M9 and they are all the same. Btw from what I heard so far a complete recycling of the batteries is not needed or helpful, and will in contrary reduce batterie life.

I used the 70 Summarit on this series.
