Hi, I'm still getting use to my CL. Is it possible to get shots taken in portrait to auto rotate in the preview screen. It's really annoying having to turn the camera to view these shots.

Hi Thegman,
First, u need to go to the Customize Control submenu, which is the first choice on page 4 of the Main Menu. Once inside, u can assign the AE-L function to either the Fn button or Right Wheel button or both; simply by switching the AE-L On or Off. When AE-L is turned on during shooting, there is a little “AE” lock symbol at the low…[Read more]

Take a look at page 23 of the Q2 Manual. It lists item 14 as “Light Balance” and item 19 as “Exposure compensation scale”; referring to the image on page 22. To me, item 14 looks like the Exposure compensation scale and item 19 refers to something called. Light Balance. I guess I am confused with the information on the top and bottom of the…[Read more]

Hello from Norfolk in the UK.
Purchased a used Leica Q and am absolutely thrilled with the camera. My other camera is a Sony A7, one that I use for nightscapes of local historic buildings. Being able to set the aperture and shutter speed on the Q direct from the top plate is something I’ve missed from the Sony, which at times is like using a c…[Read more] -

Hello David,Apologies for the DM, but I wasn't sure how else to ask this question.
I've been relying enjoying and getting a lot of value out of your “Red Dot Camera Talk” discussions on YouTube, and was hoping you might answer this question in that forum.
I am a current shooter of both Leica M10 and Leica SL2, with a reasonable…[Read more]

This is a huge upgrade. I hope even Q2 gets this update as well since they have same image processor and sensor. 🙂 super excited
Firmware updates are camera specific. While some improvements for the SL2 may translate to the Q2, many others would not due to hardware differences between the two cameras.
