I’ve started a few self-improvement plans in the past, but if I don’t see visible results quickly, I tend to lose motivation and give up. Does anyone else struggle with this? I know lasting change takes time, what are some things people do to stay on track and actually continue through their journey?

You absolutely aren’t alone when you are unable to quickly obtain your desired outcome. It’s human nature to want fast results. That’s why when choosing a self-improvement guide, always check the source to better understand its legitimacy. The long-term changes often seem intangible at first. Remind yourself why you started and focus on the process, not just the end goal.

The expectation of immediate results in the age of instant gratification can significantly impact our ability to commit to long-term self-improvement plans. It’s as if we’ve been conditioned to expect everything to be fast, easy, and readily available. We should accept changes and slow progression to better accept our goals.
