Atanabe;474 wrote: Spoken like a true retailer 😮 Don't you just miss the days of film and processing revenue?
Memory card sales make up such a small percentage of our sales, are so inexpensive and have such slim margins (if any at all) that my retailer hat is taken off for this one. I have been taking the single-use SD card approach…[Read more]

Guess I'll chip in as well.
Been fine using Transcend Class 10 8GB and 16GB SDHC cards. On the first version of M9 firmware, I had a compatibility issue (no card found) when using the Transcend Class 6 8GB*. These also work fine now.
* Thanks to Al for loaning me some of his extra SD cards when I was in Seattle and my brand new 8GBs…[Read more]

Wow. VERY impressive shot, Mark. Beyond the fact that ISO 1250 looks so good, the picture is really beautiful. What aperture did you use on the 400mm? The bokeh is really nice.

If you could get an M9-P….. certainly none coming in in the next few weeks with the factory closed for the rest of the month.

David Farkas replied to the topic Suggestions for feature additions in future S2 firmware updates in the forum S2 14 years, 4 months ago
Another suggestion for future firmware:
Currently 2 sec self-timer locks up the mirror immediately, then counts down. This is a huge plus for tripod shooting. Unfortunately, the 12 sec self-timer doesn't currently offer any big advantage. Once you press the shutter, the timer counts down from 12, then at the 2 sec mark, the mirror locks up. I…[Read more]

Yes, those “big” cards of yesteryear are small by today's comparison but did store a good number of images, a 512 mb card would store 93 5.47 mb images from my D1X but only 6 from my S2. So in relative terms, I would have…

ka7197, welcome to Red Dot Forum and thanks for posting.
The omission of the 50 Summarit was a simple oversight on my part when setting up the poll. I've fixed it and added the option.
The Summarit is certainly no slouch of a lens. As I tell people who are new to Leica, there are no bad Leica lenses. In the world of Canon or Nikon, a…[Read more]

Are you looking at the 11″ or 13″ MBA?
I was just in the Apple Store and looked at both. If I was in the market for one ;), I'm actually not sure which way I'd go.
The 11″ is barely bigger than my gen 1 iPad and much more functional, but has a pretty small screen. The 13″ has decent screen real estate and might be a capable Portable LR…[Read more]

Jack,
The biggest difference is that the i7 has hyperthreading while the i5 does not. So, while the speed is essentially the same clock-for-clock, the i7 will have twice the virtual cores, making it superior for heavily multi-threaded applications like image…[Read more]
