Thanks Al, I actually had an email exchange with Kelsey, but she said AF on wides can be iffy. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt until I saw your reply. My 35MM just came back from Wetzlar in March after the AF on it died completely – they had it there two months for warranty service. If they didn't pick up on this focusing issue at…[Read more]

Doug,
With you technique you would be fine…overjoyed with the output I am sure.
I used a Leica S-2P with Pentax 300 EDIF F4 lens on an adapter for the following shots….both manual focus on a monopod.
The Heron shot was very low light and was across the lake as they spook very easily here in Texas….the Mallard in better light…[Read more]

The second image is sharper, just compare the yellow road sign above the bridge in both samples. You can also see this difference if you look at the green vegetation on the top of the building on the left.

Thanks.
Nothing special, just started with my standard T preset in LR then made small tweaks.

Here is a mini review from Manila and Kurt Kamka.

He and a friend worked it pretty well. I was impressed that he was using face detection in fast grab shots with a wide open lens.
I have done some shooting with Kurt and greatly appreciate the quality of his work.
He has an M,…[Read more] -

At times we can and do have a glimpse into instances that have not yet happened and though it can be a brief insight, the implications are amazing and astounding. Not everyone will have these little occurrences but they do happen for some. Intuition is such that you know something prior to it happening.

This is beautiful pics about fashion. I like the blue dress- the last one. It transitions smoothly and does not distract from the image. I can't stand lenses that are a swirly mess.

Aboud,
Had the same problem with my 30, would not focus to infinity in AF mode. It ended up back in Solms for a tuneup.Looks like your lens will get to visit the new factory in Wetzlar. Contact Kelsey Fain and maybe she can arrange a loaner for you.

From the above info, you know I have the super back pack when I am hiking for the day.
But what about when I just want a small carrying bag?
If I have the camera in the car, I want some basic protection and some pockets for extra stuff. I don't need water proof and I don't need thick padding. This Tumi day pack bag is my answer, and it is…[Read more] -

Jesus, I am not sure about the correct version of ACR. However, I have Lightroom 5.4 and it has profiles for the S 45mm. There may be a way to correlate the Lightromm version with the ACR version on the Adobe website.
