I did some work in the LR5 beta. The release version converted my LR4 catalog into a LR5 catalog. I'd like to merge the 5beta catalog into this main LR5 catalog, but I don't see how to do that. Thanks for any helpful suggestions. :confused:

One of the constant themes in web discussions is that no-one can really get a sense of what images from cameras like the S-System actually look like. Web images are way too low-res.

Since all I shoot is arch (with quite a bit of interior work), I shoot in the wide range more than the long, and I'm mainly preoccupied with watching for distortion at the edges. Thank you Richard for the feedback. How is the distortion correction at major focal lengths? Not asking for perfection, but wondering if they can be corrected easily (i.e. no mustache shaped distortion) in post.

I've heard of those…. Jason Howe hosts my DIY guides for shimming the J-3 for a Leica. Many are adjusted already, some require adjustment for a Leica.

I like these Al…take one more and you've got yourself a triptych (sorry Jack…couldn't resist) 🙂 I recently acquired the same lens. It's a bit of a beast but it renders beautifully and the focal length fits in nicely between the 35mm and 70mm Leica offerings.

Two very beautiful lenses. Both are on my wish list, but they are really hard to get. While waiting I helped myself with a stunning sample of a Jupiter-3 R from 1957. 😉
