Hello-I'm new here, and just received my Leica SL this week. I don't seem to able able to use the Focus Peaking mode while using an older non-coded M lens. I set the camera for Focus Peaking, and it works when I use a new AF lens in Manual mode. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I reported the problem in March 2020. Leica repair workshop in Melbourne sent my camera to Germany. I was told electronics had been renewed completely. I received the camera in July 2020. Damm even I am having a similar kind of issue, I have searched all over the internet and even have posted on number of threads on different forum, no solution seems to work. I am really frustrated, can anyone of you here help me resolve this issue, I am very much tired now.

Yes they are a bit noisy as there is quite a distance the elements are moving, but very noisy if you don’t truly have a replaced motor gearing. The claim of a replaced motor on an eBay listing would be suspect unless they provided proof. The fact that it focuses at all suggests that it is working for now.

But does it also have the same power problem as the SL2? The inability to shoot 4K or high-speed stills below 75% power is disappointing.
