Hey Pete,
The neoprene cover is a Lenscoat Bodyguard Pro CB. I use as an extra layer of protection from dust, etc. It fits very well and has stretched to fit better over time, even with the Leica handstrap and RRS L-Bracket attached, though I could have done a more tidy job putting it on the camera the day I snapped these photos. -

Cool. But the coolest is the neopren cover for the S2. Self-made?

Correction to main compartment image: also holds a D-Lux 5, not Digilux.

Two images of ThinkTank Urban Disguise 35 V2.0 with daypack attachments:
1. RU Thirsty bottle holder attached via short Attachment Strap clipped to side of bag. Could also hold a lens. (For storage I keep the strap zipped into the compartment at the bottom of the bottle holder so it is always there when I need it).
2. Backpack Harness…[Read more] -

Three images of the inside of ThinkTank Urban Disguise 35 V2.0:

2. Unbuckle and lift the front pocket flap for an additional pocket area that holds RRS flash bracket and rails, LED flash, bag rain cover and even a micro-windshirt.
3. Main compartment holds 2…[Read more] -

you may wait for a mirrorless camera from Leica later, but it is at this time pure speculation if and when this will be on the market.
There are also some bodies (Ricoh, Sony, Fuji etc) that will give you the flexibility to youse your M-lenses as well as the R-Lenses.
And, as i said, in some situations, especially for…[Read more]

Yes, the Hasselblad sensor is bigger, I think the equivalent of the 210 lens should be something arround 150-170 mm or so for the S2.
can't wait to get my Hasselblad HC-Adapter ……. got the 150 HC allready and I'm looking for the 100 actually. (If someone needs a Hasselblad V adapter, I have one for sale).
I really like the new…[Read more]

Summicron is no longer available. I've decided to keep this one. This one is collectible, but after bleaching- as good as the non-radioactive lens.

It seems that most have the same opinion about the limitations of these solution. i guess the R's go back to the selling block. I just wanted to see the options of keeping the R's. Then again you may be right to check the 4/3 and mirrorless bodies. Thank you!!

Good observations Stephan.
The slight temperature differences can probably be directly attributed to more strobe lighting used on the Hassey shot compared to more ambient (shade) on the S2 shot. Lighting is often the biggest single factor … however, up big, I do like the S2 shot a lot for its more natural look and feel. Just different…[Read more]

what a beautiful photographer 🙂
this said, I like the rendering and bokeh of the hasselblad lens better, also the tones look a bit warmer, but all this may depend on the focal length ….

Now that they have taken the sync speed to 1/1000th, I'm converting all my lenses to CS.
make sure you bought your lenses early enough to qualitfy for the upgrade, as for actual lenses this is not possible any more 😡 I sold my 70 for buying a new one, and will not update my 180 🙁
also, for us here in Europe the upgrades will be…[Read more]

to be honest, I think this is not a very good idea (unless you use mainly wide-angle lenses stoped down). Focussing will be poor (reading from the scale) or absent.
Also, most R-Lenses are somewhat bigger than M-Lenses, so it is not that compact.
I would probably opt for a new DSLR or a recent mirrorles-camera.
There is an adapter…[Read more]

No specifics, sorry.
I already waited a bit before I upgraded. Unfortunately I have the “there is a task open, take care of it” attitude, to keep my list small. 😉
