That's some great detail on the church in the foreground, especially given the ISO. The fact that the arch is clear in the background is phenomenal. I set myself some targets for detail more-or-less with the M-Monochrom, and while the T doesn't equal those (with the 18-56 anyway), it's close enough for normal viewing distances.

Yes, I updated fine thanks.
The instructions say double click the zip file, but apparently that was not necessary to do, as the computer automatically behind the scenes, opened to the final file. -

I still haven't figured out how to set the left dial to ISO and the right dial to exposure compensation. Or is that only via the new firmware?

Correction to above – made a successful post – not my ideal way, but seems to be functional.

Edit: Failed to post the street photo, so posted this one instead.
Taken with the Leica T/18-56 in the Hartville Kitchen restaurant lobby in Northern Ohio, in available light. I had to clear a few small reflections here – not as bad as if flash were used though. At the top of the stairs is a store for Thomas Kinkade paintings, so the motif here…[Read more]

Naper is correct. You downloaded a ZIP file from Leica's website, which you then extracted the .TUF file from. The file isn't readable by a computer. You simply transfer it to you camera's SD card and then put it into the T. I put together a step-by-step visual guide on how to update the firmware on the T since it's not very straight forward. If…[Read more]

I really like the design and format. Some tweaking will take place I am sure but Kudos to the sign design.

I would like to see a Leica like the M60 without a screen, just dials and ISO setting in the rear. Call it MO for Leica M or Others! That would be lovely and affordable under 5K. I can dream right!

It looks like I won't be able to post any more ‘T' photos. I found a great way to post photos a few months ago at the suggestion of the person running the LeicaPlace forum, and it posts a thumbnail that connects to a full size photo. But that didn't work here, and I really don't want to jump through hoops JUST to contribute photos here. I have…[Read more]

I think the black and white works well with the subject matter. You see so many weddings in full color and they all look the same. B&W gives it an art aspect and so different from the norm.
Lovely image Peter. The B&W gives the image a nice mood and feel.
Thanks Harry.
Thanks Mark, I agree about the mood of B&W. Very hard to pull off in such a dark room though. Thankfully I had the Monochrom!
