Nice images, Al!
It's great that Leica brought along a T so everyone on the workshop could try it out.

Last September I promised I would report actual data regarding the framing and shipping cost of the large 60″x40″ Mirror Lake print. It was shipped to a client in Las Vegas a couple months back. The framing was just over $700 using museum glass. For shipping I had it couriered to USP for $50 to then have UPS pack it and it shipped by rail (rather…[Read more]

Mark,
I hear you there! Hiking with a big tripod and S gear can get tiresome! The T is a very good system, wide DR and great image quality. A great upgrade for my X2 which I also carried out in the field. The lenses, 23 and 18-56 zoom are up to the standards that we have become accustomed to. It works very well with the T-M adapter and if…[Read more] -

Hi David, I notice that the majority of the images you posted are from the zoom and only one from the 23mm. The zoom looks to be really good. So much so, the main reason for getting the 23mm would be for speed and smaller size. Of course, I bet the IQ of the 23mm is better than the zoom, but maybe not by a whole lot. What are your thoughts.

Well done Al. I am interested in the Leica T for those times I don't want to carry the S2.

Very nice rendering of the colors in both shots. The second photo, with the man on a bike, has an interesting 3D effect.
Thanks for sharing. -

Jim,
Regarding full frame,
The T never need be full frame as the sensor size as is allows for great quality and smaller lenses.
But what if a future M goes autofocus? This could be the lens mount for that future. Pretty obvious. -

Thanks for the Feedback guys.
@David: It would be interesting but those tests are expensive. 😎
A more stable head may help, but very often time is of the essence and when not being in an open car you have to shoot through the window, so no way of using a tripod. On top, if you are not alone in your car, your companions move, so is…[Read more]

Just gotten the Vario. Love the versatility and the weight and size is quite nicely proportioned.

David,
A wonderful review! You guys do a great job with your videos! Many thanks!
May have to make a trip down your way to handle it one of these days soon. Of course I want a Yellow cover for mine! LOL! 😀 I'm pretty certain Leica will be pleased with pre sales as it suits as a back up for M/S shooters who are dedicated…[Read more]

I hope Leica brings out a 350 this fall
And while we are wishing, I want a T like interface on the next S.
Joe D cleverly suggests using the touch focus to allow for automated sequential focus stacking, but that would also require T like focus sensing or focus reposition.
Mark who uses focus stacking very effectively can comment on…[Read more] -

Absolutely stunning images.
Sounds like getting these was quite the challenge though. I wonder if the results would be different with the 400 f/2.8 non-modular, 400 f/2.8 modular or 400 f/4 modular, as you probably wouldn't need to stop down as much, which solves some of the handling issues.
The lens we adapted to S mount was the…[Read more]

Nice read David. Thanks.
I was lucky to get my hands on the camera yesterday and I must admit that it is a really nice, modern, leight camera. I love the possibility to use M lenses. Used it with a Nocti and it worked just great. Can't wait to shoot more with it. 😀
