I'd add that when I use wide angle S lenses at infinity, I almost never allow the camera to auto focus focus to infinity. In my mind, doing so effectively discards a large portion of my usable DOF. I have had that infinity issue with my 35 when the subject is very far and very tiny detail without a clear object to focus on. I now know to double check the setting and manually readjust. That is a function of SLRs to me. My split screen doesn't really help either in that subject. That is the advantage of a rangefinder when using wide lenses.…[Read more]

With you technique you would be fine…overjoyed with the output I am sure.

I used a Leica S-2P with Pentax 300 EDIF F4 lens on an adapter for the following shots….both manual focus on a monopod.

The Heron shot was very low light and was across the lake as they spook very easily here in Texas….the Mallard in better light…[Read more]

The second image is sharper, just compare the yellow road sign above the bridge in both samples. You can also see this difference if you look at the green vegetation on the top of the building on the left.

I've decided to keep the body and wait for the third generation.

Still going strong, now with a new 30MM lens. I shot this for my son, a real estate agent here in D.C.

At times we can and do have a glimpse into instances that have not yet happened and though it can be a brief insight, the implications are amazing and astounding. Not everyone will have these little occurrences but they do happen for some. Intuition is such that you know something prior to it happening.

This is beautiful pics about fashion. I like the blue dress- the last one. It transitions smoothly and does not distract from the image. I can't stand lenses that are a swirly mess.

Had the same problem with my 30, would not focus to infinity in AF mode. It ended up back in Solms for a tuneup.
