Thanks! It was a rare coincidence – that butterfly is uncommon in my area and it was buzzing around me for some reason, so I got out the camera and followed it over to the plant it perched on. Another uncommon occurrence was the puffy clouds and blue sky behind the butterfly. After taking the photo (several in…[Read more]

Thanks Gage, about the EXIF, if you're a LR user, you can set ‘include EXIF' on export. As for the OOF picture, I see what you mean, I think the ‘bokeh' of this lens looks wonderful in this shot, very smooth and soft.
The other two really look amazing, sharp and nice contrast into the corners. Thanks, Peter

Thanks Jack! I purchased mine at Leica Store Miami. I requested it a few months ago and purchased it along with the S.

I hope you're right Bob. There have been some really great kits on Ebay lately with no takers. I'll be happy once that supply of dealer S2 and S2-P's is gone.

I like it Jack. We have a lot of clouds here in Florida and they often transform into formations that look like all kinds of things. I used to play a game with the kids when they were younger and we were all driving in the car. Anybody see the poodle…the elephant, etc. I see an alien face in your image..anybody else 🙂

This is good info for M (Typ 240) users. Thanks for posting.
Just be aware that taking these screen protectors off can be problematic and could potentially damage the rear LCD. We usually recommend using a removable protective film like those used for iPhones as they pose no risk and afford the same level…

Yes, Leica NJ will clean your sensor at no charge, S included.
The only drawback will be being without your camera for a while.

No, I didn't get to see that part of the Palace. I was playing hookey during for a few hours during a meeting I was attending and could only spend an afternoon taking the out-of-doors south to north route. I hope the next time I'm in Beijing I will have nore time to visit some of the sights I haven't seen.
On a related note, I was surprised…[Read more]

My informal 100 percent positive review of this very nifty little camera. Ordinarily the various reviews list pros and cons, but until other cameras start coming on line that compete with this camera on size, quality, and features, I won't have anything on which to base that level of critique.
