Am I the only one excited about using the Leica Apo-Telyt-Modular 800mm f/5.6 setup on the new M? I wish we never sold our 800mm f/6.3!

The Leica Vario-Elmar-S 30-90mm f3.5-5.6 ASPH will be priced at $9,950 and the Leica Super-Elmar-S 24mm f3.5 ASPH is $7,450.

I avoid any kind of wet cleaning of the M9 sensor, I find it tends to make things worse. I frequently use a Giottos Rocket Blower to blow surface dust off the sensor. I tested this here. When the camera is set to shoot Parallel, it will not record DNG images to the SD card. This is true when a CF card is also installed, or when an SD card is in the camera by itself. Could be a corrupt card. I've yet to see any camera-related memory card issues with the S2 over the past 2 years so it would be surprising to see one now. Have you tried a different SD card?

That is a nice looking bag, could you perhaps show a photo of all the gear inside and how it all fits?

From what I understand there are no supply issues with Leica M9 sensors. The cameras are still available brand new and we can always order more from Leica when needed.

It sounds like you have a bad battery to me. That is a problem I have seen before, where the battery shows that it has some charge remaining but the camera refuses to stay on. At first I thought it was a camera issue but after trying a new battery, I realized it was a defective battery. Send it my way and I will replace it!

I used the Kenko NDX Variable ND filter on our New England Fall Foliage workshop with excellent results. Check out this thread for a few images.

I was relatively close to most of the cars, no more than 6-8 feet away. I have had very good results using the S2's auto focus. A trick I often use (in combination with rear-button focusing) is to de-focus the lens slightly using the focus ring then allow the camera to refocus.
