Andyc:
Well first off I am jealous that you have received an adapter before any of us here in the US! My first question would be, have you updated your Leica S2 body to the latest firmware? This new firmware, version 1.0.3.3 is designed to allow the S2 to work properly with the new adapter. You can find a link to that…[Read more]

But might be difficult to see that in real life, because S2 is running very long with 2 batteries…. 😀
I stand corrected. :o…[Read more]

Nevertheless, I have two other wishes for an eventual firmware-update:
1) Since the last firmware update, it appears that the lens goes back in the last position after shutting down the camera. What may look as a good idea first, brings some problems…

David Farkas replied to the topic S2 dead–any help appreciated in the forum S2 13 years, 7 months ago
Georg,
I'm a little late to the party (I'm 6 hours behind here in the US), but I would have said it was the battery not holding a charge.
When you see the CF card light turn red for a moment, go off, then nothing else works… 99% of the time it indicates a dead battery. Over the last couple years with the S2, we've seen this a handful…[Read more]

Josh Lehrer replied to the topic Firmware Glitch with SDHC Cards? in the forum S2 13 years, 7 months ago
I tested this here. When the camera is set to shoot Parallel, it will not record DNG images to the SD card. This is true when a CF card is also installed, or when an SD card is in the camera by itself. If you set the camera to JPEG only as an experiment, you can shoot to the SD card by itself even if the camera is in Parallel, but if you try to…[Read more]

Could be a corrupt card. I've yet to see any camera-related memory card issues with the S2 over the past 2 years so it would be surprising to see one now. Have you tried a different SD card?

I quite agree with your opinion Adobe's CA removal. Actually, I am a long time user of Capture One Pro, which I find the best (by far) for sharpness rendition and moiré correction. This was the time I used the R9/DMR…
