Just got a lovely example of a black M4-P from a guy in France . well pleased. http://www.ffordes.com had a red one for sale – loved it but prefer to remain akin in a crowd!!

Best is to let Leica do the sensor cleaning or at least a Leica dealer who offers sensor cleaning.

What I do regulary is to use Giottos Large Super Rocket-Air Blower to clean the sensor, holding the camera front down. This keeps the dust and dirt from getting stuck to the sensor and therefore beomce permanent and only removable by a propper…[Read more]

The MM will become a specialty camera, a project camera, but it will be joined in the bag by its M9 cousin (and hopefully by its M10 cousin.) I can't wait to get my Monochrom, but in a given year, I expect it will get less than 50 percent of my attention. Love color too much. JB

It will fit in the same field case as the M9, one for color the other for monochrome.

The M-M will become my main camera, my M9 will supplement it for family, landscape and such. I does mean I can semi-retire my M7, for use with special projects. The M-M does not replace Tri-X, but it sure can make my stock of film last i long time.

So it appears that your most desired feature was for a new Leica agent to be appointed in Thailand and it appears you got your desire. Anything else in an S3?

At least, there's another one from Thailand. I bought S2 since 2010 and still enjoy shooting it. We have a lot of photographers in Thailand but the problem with Leica camera here was the agent. Since actually getting the H to S adapter and using it with H lenses on a number of assignments as well as some personal work … I'm even more happy with the S2 as is.

However, that POV is tainted by being a H4D/60 user with a full compliment of H lenses. I have the 100mm portrait lens some wish for … and it is the fastest…[Read more]
