My traveling light bag is a tan colored Billingham Hadley Pro.
My light and fast setup is my M4-P with a Summicron 28 ASPH, Sekonic L-508 meter, a few camera doodads and six rolls of Tri-X.

Andy,
Those are some serious woes. I hate to hear about your misfortune. In my opinion, your note to Leica is very reasonable considering the extent of your problems. I wish you the best in getting the problems sorted out.

Andy,
What a string of bad luck…my sympathies, as I can only imagine how frustrated you have been. I had the cracked sensor and replacement of the top OLED. Also had one lens arrive DOA. Leica repaired everything promptly and without charge…not even for shipping. I found Leica service to be excellent, albeit a bit slower than I would…[Read more]

I forgot to mention that these problems were not noticable at time of purchase and developed within days of use … apart from the Multigrip attachment which was only noticed after I received it through the post

Andrew, I think the words you have used in your letter are the right ones. It seems you had really bad luck with your camera. I had two issues with my body as well and found the people from Leica very dedicated to help me. I hope Leica will react to you and your issues accordingly and this means, beside giving you a working system, to communicate…[Read more]

Great shots Mark! I'm impressed that you were able to get so close to get such good results using the 50mm.

Thank you -that sounds promising.
I have ordered one yesterday and this encourages me that it was the right decision.
I use AF a lot but sometimes correct manually, and insome scenery MF works better. It works well with the standard screen but I assume even better with the microprism. -

Nice. Seeing as how I only got to use the 30mm off a small balcony in NYC, your image really makes me want to go out for a “real” test. Hopefully, Leica will ramp up production soon.

I can't remember the difference in terms of brightness but I do know that I will never ever use the standard screen again. Manual focus is pretty easy.
