Thanks Roger,
This is very helpful. The world of Lica can be a bit intimidating and, at times, confounding. I feel better equipped to bid on the lens now.Best,

First the 90/2.8 EM is an excellent lens that I use frequently. The M version of the lens (latest ) has the pull out shade and uses a 46mm filter . The used price can vary considerably based on the age and condition of the specific lens. A mint 6 bit coded lens in the silver box will be considered the current model and will sell for…[Read more]

I about spewed my drink when I read that. Good one David.
I like the drama of the B&W. I know we were there to capture fall colors, but in this case the B&W looks best to my eye.

My first reaction was go with the punchier version…but after looking at them for a while I'm going with the B&W. On the one hand it's tough to throw away those beautiful fall colors…but on the other hand I think the image is strong enough to go B&W. Having said that, you can't go wrong with any of them. Perhaps a triptych 🙂

This has been extremely informative. Thank you all.
Like Josh, I'm a new Lica user, having recently purchased an M9. I've been looking for a good price on a Elmarit f2.8 90mm, and I've been scratching my head, trying to reconcile what I've read on posts about fair prices being under $800 for a mint condition lens, with the sky high prices…[Read more]

Seagate Go Flex might be a solution for file swapping between computers for me.
I have an 2010 iMac without thunderbolt but with firewire 800 and also a 2011 MacAir with thunderbolt and USB 2.0.
My challenge was how to swap files between the two machines in the fastest manner?
Seagate is now making a thin 500Gig drive that can act…[Read more]

Glad you posted here as well as GetDPI.
I hope when you print them, you post a shot of how they look in exhibition.

This has to be the best “first post” I have ever seen in any forum. Your photos are exceptional. Each has their own feel and emotion and yet each are also technically excellent.

Those cars are really good looking. I'm surprised that a company would name a car after a Hasselblad camera.

I am glad to see you finally made it to the Cavallino. It is an incredible event for those of us that appreciate exotic cars.

I can only imagine the effort you made to obtain these shots…but I can assure you they are worth it. To my eye these are nothing short of spectacular…as were the images I've seen posted by you elsewhere. I would love to hear what inspired you to visit Ethiopia and how you managed to cultivate a rapport with your subjects.

Wonderful shots. The third and fourth shots are fantastic … there is so much there that delivers on the depth of the human condition.
