I bought a 50mm Summilux ASPH a few weeks ago from Tamarkin and it appeared that the rangefinder won’t focus at infinity, and the focusing scale is off by like a meter (measured against a tap measure). I just got a Leica m-a, and want to know if it will show brassing over time. If it is black chrome like M7, I know it would not show brass, but I just read a review that M-A is made out of brass and matte black paint over(?)

Is this true?

I read reviews on Kenrock said optical is the same, V4 have focusing tab, V5 have built in hood and 6 bit. Is V5 have more modern coating compare V4? And one more question how Summicron IQ render compare Summilux?

I think I'm going to need to use zone focussing as the RF VF is so dim on the 3F I have. Is this likely to be fixed/improved/made useable by a professional CLA ?

As someone who doesnt know a ton about photography it doesnt make sense to me. Dont get me wrong the sample shots that I have seen are awesome, but why are they only in black and white? Cant you achieve the same effect in Photoshop if desired?

Hey so I'm super attracted to the Leica Q. Everything I've read about it seems overwhelmingly positive. I know it's relatively crap at videos and JPEGs, but I don't want it for those things. My two reservations are of course 1) it's expensive, and 2) you're stuck with the 28mm lens.
