Today, Leica Camera has announced a new special edition set: the Leica M-P (Typ 240) Titanium Set. Limited to only 333 sets worldwide, the set includes an M-P (Typ 240) made of solid titanium and two lenses: the Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH and APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH in titanium anodized finish.
Highlights of the M-P (Typ 240) Titanium:
- Solid titanium body with clear lacquer finish and black cowhide leather
- Top cover plate, base plate and control elements are made of solid titanium
- Classic Leica engraving filled in black on the top cover and special edition number on the hot shoe
- 90 grams lighter than the standard Leica M-P (Typ 240)
- Technical features identical to the Leica M-P (Typ 240)
- Outstanding build quality, Made in Germany
Highlights of the Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH Titanium
- Made from titanium anodized aluminum with matching front and rear caps
- Feet scale and focal length engravings filled in red
- Retaining ring surrounds the front element is engraved with the unique special edition number
- Technical features identical to the standard Leica Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH lens
- Outstanding build quality, Made in Germany
Highlights of the APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH Titanium:
- Made from titanium anodized aluminum with matching front and rear caps
- Feet scale and focal length engravings filled in red
- Unique special edition number is engraved on the bayonet ring, below the ‘Made in Germany’ engraving and the serial number of the lens
- Technical features identical to the standard Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH lens
- Outstanding build quality, Made in Germany
With only 333 sets being produced worldwide, supply is limited. The set is priced at $22,900 and will be available in mid-October, 2016.
