Do you have a proper profile for the S in C1? I must admit I am not sure if C1 is supporting the S. Have you tried LR?

Positives
———-Leica experience. Unboxing the camera and holding it is impressive. I don't think I would have found that especially important at one time – now I do.
Manual operation, when manual operation isn't so much extra work as it is having a direct and positive control of the camera. The lens barrel, with focus and zoom…[Read more]

Scott, it looks like a lot of creative energy can be realized with a model like that! I particularly like the third one, first of the two shopping cart shots. The contortion, in such an unusual way, plus the calm expression just looks surreal.
The first two scare the dickens out of me, as that looks like a very long drop at hand. But then the…[Read more]

Had the same experience. I believe I read it depends on whether the battery was in the grip when the camera was switched on or not – or something rather unlogical like that…

I had the opportunity to visit the Leica Store in Miami this past weekend. Incredible opportunity to see equipment one usually only reads about. Thanks to Kirsten and the staff for a great experience.

Shot with an X2 I tried at the Store.

I asked if anyone has tried the MindShift and now I have.
They have a two week trial offer and I took them up on it. Others have done complete reviews, but I shot some photos of the compartments filled with S gear to suggest how much it can hold, and how versatile it can be. Essentially, with the deluxe version, you are buying three or four…[Read more]

This allows you to just swap the grip battery without having to remove the grip to access the main battery. This has been my personal experience and the experience of all the S/S2 users I've worked with.

I've never seen a composition like that – I wonder if this sort of thing is common, getting really unique views from across the water like that. Amazing in any event.

When the X1 was introduced on 9th Sept. 2009, Leica offered a brochure suggesting, or perhaps stating clearly (cannot remember) that images from the fashion shoot in that brochure were made with the X1. And so here for the first time since then, to my eyes anyway, is a real-life collection of comparable images with the X2. And the quality of these…[Read more]

I first saw this question a couple of months ago, but I wasn't aware of any lack of interest in the D-Lux series, particularly the latest edition, the D-Lux6. But after some research and having purchased the D-Lux6 myself, here's my guess (and it's just personal speculation, since…[Read more]
