Alex, I took it on Friday afternoon at the Fiddlers Ferry Power Station at Widnes in the UK.

It was a shot from the first time out with my new camera; that is apart from a wedding I shot with it.

I'm not fond of cold weather, but it has its visual attractions. And to see stuff you have to be there… This is part of our rodeo grounds and the track around it.

165mm f/2.8
I've tried a variety of Pentax 67 lenses on my S2 and posted some results earlier. At last I got out my 165mm f/2.8 and gave it some action. I'm pleased that it's sharper than my Leaf Shutter 165mm f/4 used at the Grand Canyon. These are processed in LR4, exported as TIFF and converted full-size to JPEG. The M8 battery in an M9 problem you described just happened to me. I had 30% of the battery left, and I suddenly had a dead M9.
First I reinserted the battery and initially it showed I had a full memory card. Then the card returned to a correct reading. I wondered if the card was the problem so I reformated the card. Problem…[Read more]

One more from last Sunday. I seems as if my mind was in a symmetrical mood that day. The main subject is centered in both photos I have posted from that day and it was intentional. I tried other compositions but the centered ones worked best in my opinion.
