Leica has released a new version of their Adobe Lightroom Tethered Plug-in, version 1.2.0.759. The plug-in supports the following cameras and allows tethered shooting over USB directly into Lightroom:

  • Leica M (Typ 240)
  • Leica M-P (Typ 240)
  • Leica S (Typ 007)
  • Leica S (Typ 006)
  • Leica S2
  • Leica S2-P
  • Leica SL (Typ 601)

This latest release mostly addresses bug fixes and stability issues. Specifically, the previous version had a bug where exposure information wasn't communicated properly in Lightroom after changes were made on the camera.

The plug-in is compatible with Mac OS X Yosemite and El Capitan (10.10 and 10.11) and Adobe Lightroom 6.2 or higher, or any version of CC.

Note that just like the previous version, users shouldn't change the camera's user profile while tethered. This may cause a software crash and/or image loss.

You can download the latest plug-in from the Leica Owner's Area.

The M10 doesn’t have a USB connection or any support for tethering. Leica’s intention with the M10 was to focus solely on the essentials and create a pure M experience. No video. No tethering.
