I bought a 50mm Summilux ASPH a few weeks ago from Tamarkin and it appeared that the rangefinder won’t focus at infinity, and the focusing scale is off by like a meter (measured against a tap measure). I just got a Leica m-a, and want to know if it will show brassing over time. If it is black chrome like M7, I know it would not show brass, but I just read a review that M-A is made out of brass and matte black paint over(?)

Is this true?

I read reviews on Kenrock said optical is the same, V4 have focusing tab, V5 have built in hood and 6 bit. Is V5 have more modern coating compare V4? And one more question how Summicron IQ render compare Summilux?

I think I'm going to need to use zone focussing as the RF VF is so dim on the 3F I have. Is this likely to be fixed/improved/made useable by a professional CLA ?

As someone who doesnt know a ton about photography it doesnt make sense to me. Dont get me wrong the sample shots that I have seen are awesome, but why are they only in black and white? Cant you achieve the same effect in Photoshop if desired?
