David, what is your experience in loosing IQ when using a Circular Polarizer? Which one do you use? Is there any, if at all, which is delivering the best results?

Here's another one from Moss Glenn Falls. It's a four-shot pano stitch with the 35mm. Image size is about 82MP (12,000 x 6,000 px).

These are really powerful images. I especially like the first one. The symmetry is just perfect and really works here, with the arch framing the cross.

I recently set up my S2 to work with an ipad-1 using a Connect X2 Eye-fi card and the small battery powered router discussed in the forum. I have used both the Eye-Fi softwarte and Shuttersnitch and I prefer Shuttersnitch. Transfer times are in the 12 to 20 second range. Image quality on ipad permits zoomong to check focus.

The above shot will be next redone as a triptych.

How well does an Eye-fi work in an S2? Getting a radio link from it to anything else would seem to be a challenge.

Perhaps mount the S2 in a bracket and the “Access Point” radio the Eye-fi talks to on top where a flash might be? That might allow you to hold the Access Point's antenna at a particular angle to the Eye-fi so as to avoid all…[Read more]

Stuart's suggested approach makes sense. I also print on the 9900 I haven't had any problems. Albeit, I'm printing mostly out of LR now.

If it is not too complex, I would try regenerating the S2 TIFF and processing it again. I use a 9900 for work, and have not really had this problem. There are so many dialog boxes, settings and things to keep straight, however, that it is likely something is getting left out or set wrong. Oh, yes, the place of refuge; I've been there a couple times but somehow missed seeing that dramatic shoreline. Or certainly missed seeing it in that way you did! We have stayed at Keauhou, so it was not so far down the road to visit.

Thanks for the feedback on the images. Although, this is mostly a family vacation I have been able to shoot a few times. I'll post a few more images soon. These images were all shot within an hour at the same location – Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park on the island of Hawaii. Hi Bobby, I have printed S2 images on an Epson 7900 without seeing the offset/crop issue you describe. I have printed from both Lightroom 3 and CS5 on Mac 10.6.8. So it should be possible … but it seems strange that this problem only occurs with your S files!
