The new Leica M Monochrom 2013 Calendars are now available! The M Monochrom wall calendar features images from this year’s Montreaux Jazz Festival. All calendar images are double perforated so that they can be separated from the calendar. All images were taken by Michael Agel with the M Monochrom at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
This is a LARGE calendar, measuring 16.5 inches in width by 28.7 inches in height. A few images of the calendar itself, including one with an M Monochrom and Noctilux for size comparison:

An image provided by Leica of all 12 months' images.
For size comparison, an M Monochrom with Noctilux attached.
A close up of the date section. As with any good photography calendar, the images take up most of the page!
The month of February. The print quality is excellent. The calendars are available for purchase online at Dale Photo & Digital.

Alex AR replied to the topic Leica 30-90mm Specs? in the forum S Lenses 13 years, 7 months ago
Today I got my S together with the 30-90. Although already used to a Nikon D4, I have to say that the weight of the 30-90 is something different…
I will post a few pictures as soon as I had the time (and wheather :p) to do a few proper ones.

As promised, here is a photo showing the changed remote release port on the S versus the S2. The S, on the left, has 7 pin connectors and the S2 on the right has only 5. Leica changed the associated connector color to blue (from red on the S2) so that there would be no confusion over the old and new accessories. The USB port (green) remains…[Read more]

Rewi, the new Image Shuttle isn't out yet, but I am very curious myself about the improvements. When the software is available I'll do a few quick tests and post results here.
Pete, the button has a very nice feel to it. For focusing, I haven't had any problems. What I have noticed is I have to remember not to press it in while I am…[Read more]

One of the constant themes in web discussions is that no-one can really get a sense of what images from cameras like the S-System actually look like. Web images are way too low-res.
If anyone wants to see a little more of Leica's image quality beyond that available on websites, I have a new (free) iPad app just released called Photique which…[Read more]

Enjoy.

Josh,
Please have a look how reliable the rear button is for focusing. The S2 the button has just one direction. So it works perfectly. How does this turns out now with a button having much more directions to use?
Thanks,

Pretty impressive that you were able to recover the shadows well enough to show the colors in the glass windows.

Would love to hear a review of the new Leica image shuttle software and if there are any tethered improvements?

I really get mad on the CS-lenses.
I gave my 120 to my dealer for the upgrade, but he didn't send it nowhere as he don't know nothing about the upgrade program (he asked me to joind the packing thought).
Same for my 70 that I finally canceled to upgrade for the same reason.
And not to speak for my Elpro, that was told to be in…[Read more]

Thanks a ton Josh. That worked perfectly. The piece I was missing was holding down the AF/AE button while turning the camera on. I really appreciate it.

Josh Lehrer replied to the topic Firmware update 1.0.4.2 in the forum S2 13 years, 7 months ago
First you want to make sure you have a fully charged battery in your S2. Then, format a CF card in the camera. Put the CF card in a reader into a computer, then copy the firmware (the .S2 file) to the memory card. Don't put it inside any folders, it goes in the root directory of the card. Once that's done, put the card in the camera (while the…[Read more]

Ed, I haven't had too much time to inspect the pins yet but I will post a comparison photo here tomorrow.
Yes, you can adjust the direction of the control wheel. It is in the “click wheel” setting. David has a few photos of that adjustment screen in his Photokina coverage article here:

Hi Josh – did Leica add a custom function in the Leica S firmware to change the direction of control wheel for changing aperture values?

Ed:
Leica changed the connector for the remote release port. It now pulls duty as both the remote release port and the flash sync port. The connector is new, it is still a LEMO-style connection but as you correctly noticed, has a different pin configuration. Leica makes a new remote release for the S: Leica Cable Release S
