I use the S2 and my H4d50 … both are used regularly … I shoot a lot tethered so the Hassi is the one I use most and for more freehand stuff I take the S2 for a spin …

Pete, I enjoyed your NYC photos posted here and on your blog. I am on my way to NYC tomorrow. Your photos have me thinking of image possibilities. I have been busy shooting fall landscapes in the mountains the last 2-3 weeks so it will be a big change being in NYC.

I use the AC Maxx and have had no issues so far (I don't mind the silver lining). I recently had my S2 Top LED upgraded and sent to Solms who removed the top AC Maxx protector without any issue so it seems they can be removed easily. The service from AC Maxx on ebay was very good as well.

I have not had any problems with the 64GB Lexar Pro cards which I have been using on the S2 for over one and a half years.

The material is soft to the touch microfiber of some sort.
Net it feels good and is quiet.

I have mine insured in Germany but that person does not offer for the UK. I found the insurance after I googled camera insurance. There are several insurance companies that offer special camera equipment insurance for items that are much more expensive than a S2 (Yes those do exist!).

I carry insurance offered through NANPA – expensive but full coverage

That looks like the perfect vest for a Leica shooter. But having stood next to you on this trip I'm afraid it might come down to my knees 🙂 My good friend Roger is about your size but he's out of the country right now. This might be right up his alley.

For the past four years, I have used the Billingham in certain travel situations and could fit my whole bag in the vest which was great for air travel with restrictions. Best to use the Billingham in the fall season since it does get a bit warm.

Nice shots. You really nailed the tractor shot. Unfortunately, I must have moved my focus or just not paid attention to focus at all as I was chopping down weeds with a Swiss Army Knife in front of our camera position.
