Have you tried Quickview in Image Shuttle? The 2MP preview JPG is pushed over the wire before the DNG and displays in about 1-1.5 seconds.

This function works great to check composition, expression, lighting, etc.

I've never seen this actually happen in practice. You must have had a pretty low battery level. Good thing no harm was done.

I have seen a faulty adapter once that caused a similar problem, so I imagine that is most likely the case. I would have the adapter replaced, and see if you still are having trouble. I can honestly say, I will continue to be a Leica customer largely because the manner in which they have resolved issues and treated me over the years. This is correct. The SF 58 won't fire in TTL on the S2, only TTL-HSS.

Set the shutter speed dial to B, then depress the thumb wheel. All the times will show on the screen.
