[QUOTE=Paratom;5930]I am constantly fighting with the M 240 color. It just looks pinkish to me. I also tried custom profile I generated with x-rite. Slightly better but not perfect.
I am even evaluating to go back to a M9p.
By the way there are some cmos which looks fine to me. The A900, the K5 looks ok and the 5dIII is not that bad in regards…[Read more] -

dalethorn replied to the topic Should I buy D-Lux 6 or go for the X2 ? Advice please! in the forum Leica D-Lux 12 years, 7 months ago
I had the X1, and currently have the D-Lux6, C-112, and Monochrom/Noctilux. My opinion is that the difference in sensor size may be important if ultimate resolution is critical, but for most purposes, the difference between a fixed 35 mm focal length and the 24-90 mm zoom is a very big difference. If I were set on having the zoom and still wanted…[Read more]

Thank you. That was the point of those images, to concentrate on the
outline, the geometric shapes, patterns or symbolism and not necessarily on photo-realistic detail.
Pre-visualized, so in some cases purposely over-exposed or under-exposed

Excellent series and I favour the third if ever there was a need to state a preference. The installation shot is very special as we rarely see such shots.
Look forward to your tutorial on printing. 😮

David K,
The last photograph is the one that sold, twice now.
Once in a B&W enlarged to 5 feet by 7.5 feet. and installed above a living room so the looking up is actually looking up. The photo is by the client just after installation before the lights were adjusted.A second sale was in color 24″x36″ is installed in an office in San…[Read more]

If you have a non-6-bit coded lens and use manual lens selection in the menu, then change to a 6-bit coded lens but forget to set the lens selection setting back to auto, you will get the wrong lens data. I would prefer that if you are in manual mode and mount a 6-bit coded lens, the camera would either override your manual selection, or pop up an…[Read more]

I agree with you about the MF Handgrip M's straight back cable and USB port location. May I suggest TetherTools TetherPro Mini B USB Right Angle Cable Adapter (Item #: CU5462RT). This angled adapter is designed to extend to the left side of the MF Handgrip M. I have also seen USB Micro-B Male Right Angle (Down Position) to Female…[Read more]

Yes, it really is a wonderful image. The motion blur makes all the subtle colors in the sky and seawater blend very nicely. The photo reminds me of the Dutch painters of the seventeenth century. And the seascape with these colors remind me of William Turner too. Well done!

I showed up early and got to pick his brain for about 30 min.
Luckily, he had both the 35 and 45 CS with him which I was able to mount on my S and take for a test drive.
