This one is really special. Wow.

  • Alex,

I'd also suggest using a card reader to download your images, rather than the camera. The USB connection on the camera is really only meant to use for tethered shooting to a computer. In the case of tethering, the data mode is set to External and the camera won't go to sleep.

I use a Lexar USB 3.0 dual card reader with both SD and…[Read more]

I guess the thing I keep reading is S is not MF it's just 35mm on steroids.

The S2 has a sensor size of 30x45mm, which is roughly 60% larger than a full frame 35 DSLR. For comparison of “real” MF, a Phase One IQ140 or Hasselblad H4D40 have a sensor size of 33x44mm. Here, the…[Read more]

  • Have you tried Quickview in Image Shuttle? The 2MP preview JPG is pushed over the wire before the DNG and displays in about 1-1.5 seconds.

This function works great to check composition, expression, lighting, etc.

I've never seen this actually happen in practice. You must have had a pretty low battery level. Good thing no harm was done.

The two new lenses were/are slated to be released in December. With the Holidays coming up, I'm assuming that means early January.

This is correct. The SF 58 won't fire in TTL on the S2, only TTL-HSS.
