I was given a new exchange and everything is as it should… -

Thanks for the tip David.
It isn't so much that the screen came loose, but rather that it may not have been seated 100% perfectly when it was installed.

Sorry to hear about your issues. I have not had any focus problems with my 70mm. Maybe others can offer some info.

There have been mentions of Leica making a shift lens for the S system, but I don't know where it is at on there lens road map. It would definitely open up additional uses for the S2. I would like one for landscape photography. It would be great…[Read more]

Andyc:
Well first off I am jealous that you have received an adapter before any of us here in the US! My first question would be, have you updated your Leica S2 body to the latest firmware? This new firmware, version 1.0.3.3 is designed to allow the S2 to work properly with the new adapter. You can find a link to that…[Read more]

Thank you Al. the orange color out of camera was over saturated kinda like bright reds do sometimes. I had to reduce the orange saturation by about -14 and yellow saturation by about -3 to get the color correct. It looks a little flat in sRGB color space for the web, but it is close.

Jack,
Thank you for the explanation. Your reasoning makes sense. I may have taken multiple shots of each position to allow focus stacking in post. However, your approach may be more pleasing to the eye.

Surely, the wait won't be much longer. The video showed a good example of why you might want the 35mm in the CS variety. That is probably the last of the lenses I would have considered for a CS application. Then again, I don't photography people very often so what do I know.
